WHO NEEDS AIT |
One of many questions asked of us is how old is old enough to begin AIT and what types of illnesses qualify for the training? Dr. Guy Berard's position has been that, to be on the safe and conservative side, AIT should not ordinarily be given before the age of four years old and may extend into elderly ages for males and females.
Many of the following illnesses qualify for treatment and have show improvement using Auditory Integration Training:
• Loss of hearing/hearing distortion (hyper-acute or asymmetrical hearing)
• Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)
• Autism
• Dyslexia
• Hyperactivity
• Learning Disabilities (LD)
• Language Impairments
• Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD)
• Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD)
• Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
• Depression
In addition to these illness consider if your loved one suffers from; lack of curiosity in most things, often has temper tantrums, doesn't like to be touched or held, has difficulty understanding basic things, frequent gibberish or jargon, frequently repeats heard words, parts of words or TV commercials, uses repetitive language, becomes obsessed with objects or topics, and has become stubborn about rituals and routines; resists change.
To better understand if your loved ones can benefit from AIT please visit our testing page or contact Mrs. Curmak from Berard's Method Center of San Diego for a consultation. |
